FiiO X1 II (2nd Gen) w/ Bluetooth!

  I appreciate the information Fiio please keep it coming as I am very intrigued by the X1 II and possible new X3 and X5 units next year.  It is really great when manufacturers like Fiio are so forthcoming with information and take users input to heart.  

I agree. The are no companies on Head-fi that have a better relationship with their customers. Fiio are top notch when it comes to customer service and communicating with customers.
 
Plus they make excellent products.

Yeah Sony likes plastic and charges a lot for it. The X1II - aluminum body with tempered glass face. Sounds like it's going to be a great little device!

I do fear tempered glass. It means you can't really rough handle it and the new stacker kit for X1II must be able to protect the glass from breaking by any force.

One thing I do like about Fiio is they ship their products with the screen protector already applied so there will at least be protection from scratches.  Their screen protectors are nice and thick compared some the cheaper third party protectors.  Hopefully a flip case will be available to protect the screen when not in use. It isn't a touchscreen and the screen is pretty small so that should make it harder to damage.

According to the CAN-JAM Exhibitor list Fiio will be attending so hopefully they will have the X1 II available for audition and we can get some pics and user reviews from the show.  It is primarily for headphones but other DAP and Portable Amp/DAC vendors will be their as well.
 
We might also get a glimpse of the new A5 portable amp that was announced at the Shanghai show earlier this year.  Exciting times ahead for Fiio I hope.

sure, we will carry the new X1II, A5, i1, and our new headphones F1, F3, iF3 in the show. also our super hybird. ( AM6+DN4001SE combo ), the first active electronics filer hybird with DAP in the world.

They said a case will be included too to so that should help protect the rest of the device from scratches.

DAC is PCM5242, better than PCM5142 in X1, the amp is the same as X1 but we improve the design and layout so the sound quality will be better.

2, we make more money through more quantity but less margin.
 
3, we show the ability in business to our supplier so they can support us with  lower price.
 
4, there are always room for engineer to improve the quality by less money.

So essentially you're making a better product for less money. Great for the consumers!

Very refreshing to hear this from a manufacturer when the market seems to be getting more expensive every year.

Hi JamesFiio,
Do you anticipate rolling this new model out simultaneously in most markets? I.e. for me, Malaysia. Because as a new convert from Apple products to Fiio, I have held off buying an X1 in keen anticipation of this - just to say the minute it hits retail in KL I'm having it!
