There is a switch to turn bluebooth on or off in the X1II.

  On the FiiO product page it says there are two screen protectors included and one applied in the factory. Does the screen protector cover the entire front face of the X1 or just the screen area. I'm wondering because the entire front is tempered glass and could be scratched.

I doubt it.  The X3II is still a current product.  Why would they make their entry level DAP better than their mid level DAPs?  The X1II will have features that other current X series DAPs don't (bluetooth and touch wheel), but I'm sure these features will be added to upgraded versions of the other DAPs when the time comes.

FiiO has said numerous times on head-fi that product runs are 18-24 months.  The X3II is at or around 18 months at the moment.  However, the X1 run went just over 24 months if I recall correctly.  People have asked the same question several times and FiiO hasn't given a specific date; only the product run times.

Only FiiO can answer that and I doubt they'll give you a straight answer other than my earlier response.

I would guess that the X3 and X5 will be upgraded in the spring not necessarily with the touch wheel...maybe touch screen.

Yes me too but I think that's something they could upgrade to with a firmware update. I can't remember exactly what the issue is as to why the X1 won't have aptx but it's back somewhere in this thread. They wanted to use aptx but couldn't get permission I think..
