Hi, all,
I am having difficulties choosing a replacement for my first generation Fiio X1 that has shown the white screen of death. I use Shure SE215s, and I was satisfied with the Fiio X1's sound quality. I am uninterested in Bluetooth and am focused on usability.
I can purchase an open box first generation Fiio X1 for $85 with six months' warranty, new second generation Fiio X3 for $200, a new second generation Fiio X1 for $124.88, and a new Shanling M2S Mini for $229. These are only a few, and I am definitely open to alternative suggestions. I am also located in Canada, which may affect recommendations.
Part of the reason why I am reluctant to purchase the X1 Second Generation is the digital wheel. I have never been fond of digital wheels and prefer the tactile feel and reliability of the first generation.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! I hate change and hate making decisions!
