The hardware is support but it will take time to add these feature by firmware update in the future, which means it will not includes when it lanuch market .

Give us a Fiio R7 version without the DAC, the analog output and the screen that has external power supply only but with great USB output, I2S and AES and then sell it for up to $200. It would be a killer!

This is interesting, I have been looking for a second "budget" streamer for my secondary / bedroom listening...or buying a replacement for the iFi Zen Stream and using it.

Things that I would like to have in a budget streamer:

- no DAC, only digital outputs

- isolated/silent USB output, optical and coaxial output and if possible an I²S output

- if possible a "normal" 9V, 12V or 15V PSU input so it is easy to find aftermarket PSU. And a change to order the device without any accessories at all for few dollars less, just the unit. Saving the planet and all that...

- USB input for thumbdrive / hardrive for offline listening

- wouldn´t like to pay extra for a MQA, no use for that

- Spotify connect at least, Chromecast?

- no need for BT, but if it is there it is there.

- dual band wifi and LAN connections

- simple and working modern app and easy update for the firmware

- no need for screens or volume buttons, as simple and working as it can get.
