I have a few questions about the R7:
1. How can I prevent the display from turning off? I can only find the maximum setting of 30 minutes.

NO!
Display settings is restricted to a maximum of 30minutes and Nilbie want's to have the display always on.

@Nilbie:
- you can have a workaround by using a screensaver. That way the screen stays on.
- maybe you can adjust s.th. via Android developer options: Go to Settings -> About Device -> Build number. Tap "Build number" more than 10x times and you'll get two messages. The second and last message will say "you're a developer now". Afterwards you have a new menu item under "Settings": Developer Options. Tap it and you see many many options. Do NOT mess around if you don't know what you're doing! Use at your own risk.
I enabled it on my R7 and tried the "Stay awake" option but the display shuts off if no screen saver is activated.

Another option: "Hello Fiio Team, please add a "keep display on" option into the firmware."

Yes, I know that USB hub should be possible. But in my case, with my hub (whyever?) connected to USB-C, R7 is not detected by PC as DAC device. If I connect the USB-C cable from PC to the rear USB-C port of R7 directly, it's working fine.

Hi, USB DAC function can only work via USB-C( USB Devices mode).
When you connect your hub to USB-C, the USB-C is turn to USB Host mode, the function is same as USB-A as this time.

2. Ich interessiere mich für die SP3 Lautsprecher in weiß, werden sie auch in Deutschland erhältlich sein und kann ich sie mit einem Subwoofer an den R7 anschließen?

Zu 1.) Probiere mal die App "Caffeine - Keep Screen On" aus.

Just to clarify, you mean the K9 Pro, right? It's important to make that distinction now, because the K9 (non-Pro) has now been released, so there is both the K9 and the K9 Pro, and they are different (same chassis, different internal specs).

The dual ES9038PRO DACs in the K9 Pro (ESS version) have better technical performance on paper than the lower-tier single DAC in the R7, but the amps are THX 788+ for both K9 Pro and R7, although there may be some minor differences in their implementations.

Some comparison quotes from @Ichos review:
"The FiiO R7 offers a more relaxed and smooth presentation than the FiiO K9 PRO, it might not be as analytical and resolving as the FiiO flagship, not that ultimately transparent and refined but it manages to sound a little more fun and, dare say, engaging."
"In the technical department, it might not be to the level of the FiiO K9 PRO ESS as it can’t match the sheer dynamics, impact and definition of it’s bigger brother but it is eerily close and really not lacking that much."

Headfonics review said "Such reminds me of K9 Pro ESS technicalities and the R7 feels more colored in the mid-range frequencies and more forwarded with vocals."

Z Reviews on YouTube also says the R7 "sounds as good" as the K9 PRO ESS.

So it seems like the general consensus is that the R7 might provide a more pleasing listening experience, even if it isn't ultimately as technically proficient as the K9 Pro ESS. Unless you've already got one, I'd say there'd be no reason to pair the R7 with the K9 Pro ESS, especially as the R9 will likely have even better technical specs than even the K9 Pro, whilst retaining and even expanding on the already excellent functionality of the R7 at a similar price point of both units together.

Hallo! I really like this product, but I have one major complaint. It is that the video streaming services are not satisfactory. Prime video is low quality and Netflix is not playable. Can this be solved?

I don't really see any point in connecting the R7 to K9 Pro ESS which is essentially an all-in-one device and not a headphone amplifier per se.
In my opinion you buy the R7 for the size and all the functionalities that integrates in such a small package.
I wouldn't add anything but just in case that someone needs more power or a different taste then it would make sense to add a pure headphone amplifier.

Tested it a bit with my CA Solaris 2020 unbalanced. With low gain, you've a black silent background.

Just unboxed the R7 and connect it as a desktop DAC on DC power replacing my DACMagic 200M
Silly question, but i cant seems to be able to power it off or shut it down?
I hold the power button, it just keep rebooting.
I went to the option/menu to shutdown, but it's also just rebooting itself.

The only way to shutdown is to pull the DC power out...

Overall a solid device, but Seems the sw needs lots of work here....

I had the same issue with the M17. After twice pressing shutdown on the device, it finally went out.
