How to use Fiio M9 as a DAC to Android Mobile and IPhone.

Don’t know how, but I found out that M9 has good sound in sink mode with iPhone even with SBC codec. I think it connects with pretty high bitrate since there’s no audible compression for me.
UPD. No. AirPlay is better.

Has anyone ever tried scanning for new tracks on the device and noticed that it exits out scanning mode? It happens to me every now and then.

Next firmware should able Fiio M9 to directly Airplay from Device no need to first airplay through iPhone and then from there speakers

Doas someone else has problems with the Tidal offline songs.

Streaming works fine without gaps between Songs. but when the playlist is offline, there are always one to two seconds when you change the music. Only with playlists with many songs, in my case about 1000 songs per Playlist.

tried with the sugessted Tidal version and with the newest

Spotify does not have this issue.

Please fix this @FiiO

Also playing tracks that I know are High Res eg 24-96 has the LED light Purple and then other 24-96 stuff displays as Yellow?

There are no problems with these 24-96 Hi Res files my Creek 50CD DAC displays that they are 24-96 and so does my Squeezebox Commander App on my tablet. But some display Purple when they are meant to be Yellow.

BTW I already have gapless switched on so that is not the solution to the crackles between DSD tracks.

The M9 could not work as USB DAC for mobile phone. You could connect the M9 with the mobile phone via Bluetooth instead.

Tidal keeps crashing if i try to update it, i cleared cache and user data but it didnt help. Anyone experiencing the same?

Yes its the same with tidal crashing but you cant update it in m9 directly. As in m9 can work only whitelisted apps. And after new version comes out it should be officially checked by fiio. Instalation is made when downloading app from fiio official page and the puting it in memory card and instaling with file manager. Last version tidal i installed this way was .5 Now update is to .6 version but cant install it as there isnt official app

I contacted Tidal, I suspect that the whole thing is on the queue. the longer the queue, the slower the change of songs. Spotify does it all differently, the queue is shortened and then updated. I hope Tidal answers

You may try to uninstall the original app by this way first go to Settings -> General -> Apps, locate and click on the app that you want to uninstall, and then click the 'UNINSTALL' icon.

Then copy the apk file of the qualified app to the M9, then open the File Management app, locate and click on the apk file to install it.
