What do you mean by "aux"? The M5 does not have any analog input.

I think it would be a huge waste of money to buy this as a BT audio transmitter. While it can serve this function, it's main design and strength lies toward music playback hence the inclusion of those DACs. If aptxHD transmission is very important to you, you should get a CSR8675 BT device off amazon for about 25USD. Their poor SNR should not affect digital audio transmission.

I wonder how the specs will differ from the M5. What DAC will it use? will it support 2.5mm balanced output?

Wait, does this not have all the features of the BTR3? I wanted this as a better Bluetooth receiver than the BTR3. I'm certainly not going to use it as merely a standalone DAP.

It is supposed to be like a BTR3 + DAP. with a newer DAC. that is why i am surprised there is a BTR5, i am trying to figure how they are different then.
