@FiiO Can I use the M23 in desktop mode with power supply via DK1 Pro?
Dear friend,

Yes.(My M23 is in low battery level, so it is charged in Desktop mode still. )

@littlenezt could you do a more detailed side by side comparison of the M23 vs the K9 AKM?

I can't believe I didn't realise sooner the two would share a lot of similarities lol.

would like to know side by side comparison of the M23 vs Q15 too...
He did actually compare it side by side in his review

Quote:
Comparison

FIIO Q15
The Q15 is almost like the M23 without operating system and minus THX AAA 78+ amp.
Is it worth it to spend more and get the M23?
In my opinion YES.

The M23 has superior bass control compared to the Q15.
M23 also has this more weighty presentation of the bass and it help renders object to feel more realistic and natural.
As for technicalities, the M23 also take it to the next level, basically what I said in my K9 AKM review applies here.
Its just like Q15 on a steroid, every aspects of the technicalities is noticeably improved.

I'd be really interested to hear comparisons to the M11 Plus ESS and BTR7. I found the M11 Plus high frequencies to be very fatiguing (using Westone W80 IEMs) but I think the BTR7 sounds really nice. I'd love to find a DAP that sounds like the BTR7 to replace my aging X7ii+AM3D

The headphone ports being on the top is putting me off this unit though. Having to flip the unit around every time you take it out of (and put it back into) your pocket is not very user friendly IMO.

Surely with the headphone port on the top this would prevent this?
