Thank you for responding, I deleted the files off the player & my pc, & re-ripped the CD - it seems to be ok now!

I have this device and was wondering what is the output limit of the usb-c as a audio out for use with mojo 2, I went and tested the device at a local store and it was only outputting 44.1k no matter what song I pick like indsd format. do I really need the cl06 from fiio for it to output the full specs as with 4.4 and 3.5?

Yes I am FiiO is it normal for it to not to display the sampling rate on the status bar? is it possible on other music app or just restricted to FiiO only? the orb on the mojo 2 just stays red and not changing to reflect the song's bitrate.

I just tried with USB-C in my TA-ZH1ES and 24bit/96khz is no issue.

do you another music player app to test? I know fiio app works but looking at usb audio and oto music are what I use in pure music mode. ReoNa!! good stuff  might have to try again when I get my mojo 2

I tested with the Sony Music Center App, also outputs 96khz.

I checked with VLC --> 48khz and with oto music its the same.

I then checked with my Smartphone and the TA-ZH1ES

FiiO Music --> 96khz
Sony Music --> 96khz
VLC --> 48khz
oto --> 48khz

I think they were having big problems trying to make LDAC work on the UTWS5 hardware. Almost as though Qualcomm has intentionally made it unstable.

I’m guessing the design of LHDC is more compatible with Qualcomm’s TWS design And that’s why they added it to the UTWS5.

Nope, it costs money. Only the encoder for LDAC is FLOSS, the decoder is proprietary and you have to pay a license fee to Sony

FiiO representatives have specifically stated that they had issues getting it to work TWS. If it was about the license fees they could quite easily have stated that too. The discussion about it is here in the UTWS5 topic.

But that chip is known to work, that's weird.

Much weaker/older chips work too. Why didn't they changed the chip then? The UTWS Series seems to be the only thing that doesn't support LDAC, even their MMCX Bluetooth cable did support it.

There are several devices with this chip that work just fine with LDAC and Qualcomm itself says, it works

You would need to enable the sample rate display option from system setting-display menu first.
