Likewise, enjoying this DAP very much with my Campfire Audio Holocene's. The sound is just spectacular. The soundstage is much wider than when I use my IEMs with my desktop DAC (Modi) and the imaging is amazing. Some tracks sound just luscious. It's a great experience.

Thanks for the heads up, didn't realize this was included. It can be activated under Settings > Global.

@FiiO Thanks for the 1.0.3 update it has fixed the bit perfect issues I was having streaming to my Sony DMP-Z1 acting as an external DAC. The M11 Plus is streaming perfectly from Tidal, Fiio Music etc. I'm ecstatic and so happy

Worked fine here when going to Settings/System/System Update.

But you can also do a manual update by going to this site:

Not finding through the technical support app. Went to settings system update which redirected to technical support app which didn’t find it. Went to Fiio website and received error when attempting to download it using chrome browser on player. Lol. No luck for me. Maybe server bogged.

Can someone with both the m11 plus and dx300 give me an idea of the difference in sound signature?

I've got the MEST I'll be pairing with the DAP and I want something revealing but musical. I'm worried the Fiio will be too analytical and hence, dry.

Hmm, you're right, the download link resulted in an error. FiiO will probably fix it soon. I normally also want the firmware files to store them local, just in case I need to reflash it.

None of the reviews online say its too analytical or dry in fact it falls in between the M11 Pro and the M15 so kind of perfect

M11 Pro I had before was rather analytical, and I’m very happy with the plus as it keeps the cleanliness from the THX amps but lets the musicality of the AKM 4497 shine through better. Concretely; more punch, more kick and more excitement to the sound. More fun, less dry.

Excellent. I'll more than likely give the Fiio a shot first as it's cheaper. If the sound signature agrees with me then I'll keep it and be a happy camper. If not, I'll sell it on the forums and purchase the dx312.
