With the FiiO BTR series Bluetooth amplifier (namely μBTR, BTR1 and BTR3) selling well on the market, some customers suggest us to release a short version replacement cable for a more convenient on-the-go. That's how the LC-3.5BS came into being.



The LC-3.5BS consists of 8 strands of 24 0.05mm copper-plated silver wires each, all encased within a sheath that allows the cable to be resilient yet flexible. Both the MMCX connector and 3.5mm plug are gold-plated, leading to lower resistance and lower impedance. The around-the-ear design ensures your earphone will fit snugly and securely, while the 45cm length of the cable is just right, allowing you to avoid the mess of long wires especially when out and about.

Will this be shipped from within the EU soon? For example, via the FiiO store on Amazon.co.uk?

I'm asking because the import fees from China to Denmark will effectively double the price of the cable.

Currently, we don't have the plan for the 2.5mm version. We have reported to the engineer about that. Will consider about that in the future.

I also would be interested in a 2.5mm balanced version of this cable. Looking to use the FH5's with my ES100. There's not a whole lot available right now for shorter balanced MMCX cables but this would be perfect.

I just purchased this cable from Amazon. Initial impressions:

Pros: the cable itself seems well made, as does the 3.5mm connector.

Cons: the around-ear part of the cable does not contain a wire to shape it to best fit your ears, as is common in most other brands, but rather has a pre-formed plastic tubing, shaped like you see in the manufacturer's picture. Yes, it has some flexibility, but I'd prefer being able to shape it to my liking. Also, the cable has a strong formaldehyde smell to it. Hopefully that fades in time.

I also ordered the 2.5mm version from eBay, which hasn't arrived yet; I probably should have waited until I tried the 3.5mm version, since I'm on the fence if the around-ear guides will work for me.

My cable (bought it off Penonaudio) had no smell at all. May have been a different manufacturing batch? I also quite like the preformed plastic, it flexes well and "grips" the ear very well without any pressure points. I believe it's the same design as on the LC-3.5B (non-short) cable. There are very few choices for ready made cables this short (I only know of two, both FiiO, this one and a much lower quality choice I wouldn't want at any price). Been using mine for a few months already and it's great, and made cable managing with the BTR3 much less of a hassle.
