I wondered if anyone could answer my question in regards to the Fiio L19 cable for Apple lightning devices such as the Ipod Touch 5th Generation which i've started using with the Fiio Q1 DAC. The thing is when i connected it all up the volume on the Ipod Touch was somewhere in the middle and that meant i had to turn the Q1 up a fair bit, but then i realised the volume on the ipod was still active so i turned it up to max level and that sounded much better in terms of volume output.
But should the volume on the Ipod be enabled still? I know that when i have connected the Ipod Touch using Fiio's analogue L3 cable with Apple's own lightening to 30 pin adaptor the volume on my Ipod was disabled. I assumed that would be the case with the L19 connection too.
