I used the Fiio control website link to adjust the EQ, and I'm experiencing distorted sounds.

This is my EQ settings, for reference,
30kHz: -5.5
43kHz: -5.0
92kHz: -1.0
1600kHz: 1.2
3000kHz: 1.2
4000kHz: 2.0
9500kHz: 1.6
11500kHz: 2.5
13000kHz: 4.0
14250kHz: 4.0

Also, when using V2.00 firmware, with KA17 plugged into my laptop, at max volume, there is no sound coming from the left side, only on the right side.

Hi, I tried the same setting but did not reproduce the problem. Did you try another usb port and headphone?
If the issue remains, please check the Global gain. Did you adjust it as well?

Hi, I did not adjust the global gain, it is set as 0. FYI, I am also using another equalizer app together with the Fiio Control.

But after rolling back the firmware to V0.99, I am experiencing less of the distorted sound. It seems when I increase the 13kHz to 16kHz range to close to the max, the distorted sounds will appear. Not sure if it is a firmware or hardware issue.

The EQ app that i am also using together with Fiio Control, is FXsound (for my laptop) and Wavelet (for my phone).

I've lost my EQ settings while fiddling with them on mobile, and that would be OK, but the web-based FiiO Control doesn't seem to work, it doesn't load the profiles and won't let me set up a new one (I tried it on 3 Chromium-based browsers, screenshot is from Edge after selecting USER1 to edit it), and the Android app (v3.21) also doesn't save the EQ settings now. Any suggestions? Firmware is v2.00, and everything was fine until I modified the settings on mobile.

@FiiO heres a few suggestions about the external power supply being developed

- A button to turn off the supply. This would save stress on the KA17's external usb c port. I've had to do this with the anker power bank to power the ka17 off every time. It doesnt have a button that powers it off.

-a slim yet durable case that would encompass both devices

-5000mah

A bit off topic but a NOS filter for the ka17 would also be cool (just for novelty haha)

To anybody on the fence about buying the KA17 or not, I'd say go for it... for the price it's really excellent, really light as well so easy to carry around with you. I have the iFi Go Kensei as well but if I had to pick one I'd pick the FiiO due to the sound you get for the cost.

Agree, best sounding from compact devices i have heard. For iems practically end game. Nothing at it's price can give what this little beast gives
