I know that somewhere on Head-fi there was posted a description of the filters included on the K9 Pro (i.e. which filter works best with which genre of music) but for the life of me I cannot find it. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Filters only work with bluetooth I believe.
Can’t use Bluetooth for hi-resolution music , so the filters are pretty much useless for most.

From my experience, BT is used to sync the app from the phone with the fiio amp and then let you change the filters even after you switch from BT to let say USB input mode

Filters can be set via BT (Fiio Control App - phone's BT must be connected), it works on any inputs. I just tried them while playing music (on USB). You can really discern the 'filter(s)' effect.Filters only work while using bluetooth
