Not sure if I have an iem with that one. But I honestly don't care what ba they use. As long as they tune it well....
(except bass ba, sonions and side-firing ba's are definitely better than other kinds of ba's. )

Yeah it sounds like a beast. Two DD's. Should have excellent bass. Is that Knowles 30017, the new one they released last year?

1 DD for bass
1 DD for mids
2 BA for highs ,

"ultra-highs knowles 30017", implies that the DD´s are doing the rest from bass to treble and just leaving the upper-treble to the BA´s which is the weakest area of DD´s.

Oh, you are right lol. Well, its up to them to tune it well regardless of the driver setup.

Indeed, having a bigger vent than the FD5 might make it have a huge soundstage as well, if not better than the FD5.

I have owned and own several Fiio products. They all have been excellent, both in SQ and more so in design, quality ,accessories etc.

I am trying to resist other purchases, including sales, so I have the cash to put toward the FH5s. If the FH5s has notable peaks at 5 or 6 kHz, like the FD5, I will likely pass on the FH5s.
