I probably sound nuts but they are my favourite iem (hence why I bought the fd7 when I already own the fdx). They scale up with better daps and timbre best I’ve not heard better. Plus they are comfortable and the sound is non fatiguing

The best part about the FD7 besides the timbre is how much density to the sound it can deliver while still keeping BA esque speed throughout the spectrum. Sure it isnt the last word on fine texture but that is a sacifice I'm willing to make. Also TRI Clearion best tip for FD7 imo.

Oh yeah it works well with moden generes as well like j-core and post 2010 metal(when they started really optimising for brickwall).

As you have both, could you please compare them if you hear a difference between the two, as they have different venting holes and cables?

This sounds silly but I really can’t get the 3.5 off to swap for the 4.4 termination. Anyone got any suggestions?

I had that, I held the jack in one hand, and a cloth it the other to give a bit of extra grip, that got it off for me.

I've tried pliers with a cloth on and this termination won't budge. Annoyingly I think I'm going to have buy a different cable to use 4.4 with my zx707

It may sound stupid, but you are turning at the right places?
not stupid at all and i just double checked the fd7 instructions and yeah I am trying to undo it in the right place. Its screwed on too tight to budge at all

You're trying to unscrew it from the cable end, yes? - the jack itself has a notch on its connector to make sure alignment is correct.

Yup trying to unscrew it the same way as my fdx. No chance will this budge. I've tried pliers and everything. Its a bit annoying as I wanted to use it with my zx707 using 4.4

Try putting on a pair of rubber gloves.
That worked! Thanks so much. I never thought of that idea but it worked pretty much straight away
