Hi, the Jade Audio EA1's is basically a internal rebranding of the FD1 or have a difference, even if the frequency response or other things?

thx in advance
FD1 and EA1 cable are different. The earphone body is the same, including the sound.

Hi fella, just finished read the whole page of this thread. Decide to buy these FD1, and i have to say i''m kind dissapointed after read many review from these cans.
From my initial impression, i just have opposite experience. It's not bad IEM actually, in term of SQ they have good clarity good imaging but mine have thin and recessed mid very ear piercing upper mid and a lot of sibilance especially when i hear female vocal, the high is very present but lack some detail refinement (very aggressive in a bad way) the low is just good for me very short decay but not deep enough have good punch and yes this IEM have good PRaT but overall i can't enjoy them tonally. I've been found some cases, they have significant change from initial impression until it reached >24 hours burn in, but i'm kind of pessimistic. Some review said they have warm and lush mid (this is my primary trigger to purchase this LOL) i know different setup different result but mine is very opposite really.
I hope some miracle will come to these cans or my ear or sell it and grab Final E2000 which actually that's my main target

I also definitely disagree with the impression that the mids are warm and lush. The IEM is fairly dry overall and the mids are somewhat recessed before that upper mids elevation that you’re hearing.

It seems FiiO have QC issues during mass production of these cans, i can't say that is true or not. There's always evaluation from 1st batch, right??? Finally, mine has been sold and grab another one.

FiiO has a strict QC management system.Consistency is also very high and you don't have to worry about it.

I've been considering these for a long time but held off buying them because of the vastly different reviews - sure we all hear differently and have different gear but I have read so many opposing opinions that I have no real idea of what to expect.

Hello, I am looking for my first IEM, and I want something neutral that can be tweaked nicely with an equalizer. I considered FD1, but now it seems that there are too many contradictory reviews. Some say that the soundstage is horrible, some say it's the best under $100. Also, in my country (India), it is priced at $80. Is it a good option for $80 budget, or should I look somewhere else?

FD1 has a bassy sound signature. If you want neutral and balanced sound check out Tin Hifi T2 plus instead. You can get them for around $40. Save yourself some money imo.

This is where it confuses me. Some are complaining FD1 has weak bass.
I don't mind the bass, but the problem with bass is if it isn't fast and tight, it tends to eclipse the mids. That is something I hate.
Also, there is not a lot of difference between the price of T2 Plus and FD1. So, the price won't make much of a difference to me.

What I worry about is the complaint of harshness and metallic flavour to the sound of FD1. Are those cases outliers, or is that something that is a characteristic of FD1?

After watching David Sylvia and Intoit's reviews and comparisons on Youtube, I wonder if they got lemons, which again begs the question, how many lemons are out there? David even said that the soundstage of FD1 is pretty bad, and doesn't have a natural timber.

It boils down to a simple question: if I want to listen to Bach and Leonard Cohen and Joan Baez and Yann Tiersen, which one is better: FD1, T2 Pro or EA1?

With that listing of artists, I think you need to plan on spending more than what those three IEMs cost individually to acceptably render your audio demands. The NF Audio NM2+ is *probably* closer to what you are looking for.
