It wouldn't be about treble volume, it would be about treble quality, if that is the case at all. Bumping up to Knowles BA isn't changing the sound signature.
The treble spike was the only downside for me, but a quick equalisation fixed that, that's what I mean.

Purchased the F9 Pro, Currently using the F9 Hybrid with Westone APTX Bluetooth cable with satisfactory sound quality.
Would like t to connect the F9 Pro to an APTX-HD Bluetooth (MMCX connectors) to be used with my LG V30+.
Current options:
- Radsone Earstudio (expected in December) - 14 hours battery life
- Bluewave Get (not yet available) - short battery life
- Astell & Kern XB10 (available) - battery life sucks
- FiiO BTR3 (specs and release date not yet known) - please provide info on that!

Thanks

the reason why we don't put the same cable as F5's is that Apple already removed the 3.5mm socket over 1 year. not sure how many people need it and we can sell it individual .

I have $100 to spend on Amazon - looking for some IEMs that are best suited for metal (progressive (emphasis on clean vocals), thrash, hair) and jazzy stuff. I'm between the F9, Pinnacle P2, and SE215. For reference - my work setup is Surface Book>Modi 2>Magni 2>DT770 250 and I absolutely love it. These IEMs would mainly be going through my S6 Active (S8 Active in a few weeks) and straight into my Surface Book.

I've seen a few comparisons but I'm stumped. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

Thanks Selenium, good to know! Bands like Opeth, Karnivool, Tesseract, Dream Theater seem to really bring out my favorite aspects of headphones so I'm hoping one of those options sound good with it.

Agalloch also sound amazing - Since you're buying from Amazon just try the F9, worst case scenario you can return them.

Sounds promising - seems like the only complaint about these is the potentially fatiguing treble. My DT770s are pretty treble-y and don't really bother me so I don't think it'll be an issue. I'm just super interested in a direct comparison with the SE215.

You could likely find another mmcx connector that does work with iPhones.

This is purely an example, can't speak to quality or anything else.

I'm planning on just skipping to a bluetooth cable, like the one from Fiio or one like this?

You very much have my attention now. I'm a metal guy. So there's no piercing treble? Is the bass potent enough for the kick drums?

Bass is very present and pronounced on the F9 Pro. Sub bass is very good as well. Especially if you use the small bore tips or better yet JVC spiral dots. They really enhance the bass significantly. You won’t be disappointed. I love it.
