Fiio E7 + E9 doubts

What a forum, the more I read, the more I have doubts.
A short question, most likely not a simple answer. What would be best: the Fiio E7 + E9 or the Asus Xonar Essence STX for use with my PC?

STX + E9 or STX by itself.

Have to bump this thread, only to let you guys know that my Fiio E7 has been delivered today. What a difference with the onboard audio on a motherboard! So clean, soundstage improved, bass, everything improved. Very happy with this purchase, I'm rediscovering my favourite music again.
I wonder if the E9 would still improve the experience now.
