Fiio e17 with Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Can't answer your question, unfortunately. But I've been looking into the Galaxy Note 3; it actually works with the E17? If so, that's great news.

I have a Note 2 and tried the E17. It did NOT work. That was about a year ago, so perhaps it would now with the newer version of Android. And I did not try it with USB Audio Recorder Pro because I don't consider not being able to use Android media players as "working."

So just because a DAC will work with one model of phone by a manufacturer does not necessarily imply it will work with another. Nor a different DAC by the same manufacturer.

I just got the E17 & use it for my Note 3 too tru the Micro USB 3.0 9pin OTG. It seems the Wolfson chip in the Note 3 is doing a good job cos I can't really hear much difference with or without the E17.

Not surprising. My Note 2 sounds as good as the E17 did to me. Just the E17 had more power, which could be helpful with difficult to drive headphones.

Yes, I'm using the Audio Technica ATH-M50x headphone which is very easy to drive.

On the other hand, I'm also using the E17 with my laptop with give much better result. :)
