This should be quite simple but when I plug my audioquest dragonfly into any computer it automatically bypasses the computers DAC and outputs to the Dragonfly. When I have plugged my E-17 DAC into the USB port on two different computers I get zip. I look in the control panel and do not see the E17 listed .....
What.... Fiio gear seems to needed a little more work before they marketed it.....

The E17, when connecting with USB, should be automatically detected, like the AudioQuest.

Did you check in control panel > hardware and sound > sound (for windows 7).

I JUST RETURNED THE UNIT........
