Ok, i feel liek such an idiot right now, but it's better to embarrass myself a bit and be able to listen to music than to keep this to myself
 
So.... i have the Audinst MX2 (great sound) but i wanted a bit more power and bass, so i got the Fiio E09K. I hooked them up via RCA cable (the Audinst goes to my laptop with  usb cable) and now there  is no sound..... what the hell am i missing?
 
well, the Fiio has a bunch of possible RCA jacks on the back, but i tried everyone of them....

I hope you have switched the output to RCA line out by now

Solved, had the Switch on the Audinst still set to "headphone" instead of "Speaker".
