Fiio DAC no longer available to select as the defualt playback device?

Even though it's recognized as a device by the PC, I can't see it under Sound > Playback. I've tried reinstalling it and restarting the laptop but the problem persists. The DAC works fine on a friends laptop so it's a problem with mine. Any help would be much appreciated.
