why is the es9219c insisted on such models? is it about power consumption? i don't remember a device that i was happy with, es9219c, including btr5k 2021. i know the chip doesn't matter much but when i see 9219 i stop ordering that thing

Compared to the BTR5 (original version)

The BTR7 is finer sounding, it has better clarity, greater definition, it is more resolving and extended to both ends of the spectrum, it has higher quality texture, more natural timbre and greater dynamics.
It can drive demanding earphones and if you don't mind the extra bulk then sound-wise it is a definite upgrade.
I don't have the BTR5 2021 version which uses the same DAC chip as the BTR7 but I doubt if it can compete with it in raw power, shear dynamics and overall realism.

Just received my SK-BTR7 case too, the belt clip feels solid.

Since a few days I have the following issue, when using the BTR7 via the included lightning cable and my iphone 13. Apple Music stops every time when I want to change music or check email and so on. When I restart Apple Music, the music comes for a second from the loudspeaker of the iphone Before it comes from the headphone. When I use another (longer) OTG lightning cable this does not happen, everything is fine. Alos everything is fine when I use the included usb-c cable with an OTG adapter.

I can’t say I’ve run into that exact weirdness with mine, but I’ve seen similar behaviour when using short cables with other equipment.
…could be a break in one of the cores of the original cable maybe?

It seems to be the hardware issue with the included lightning cable. You may try to reset the BTR7 and turn off the charge switch again for check first?

I will do this And report.
Edit: I have done so, but the issue remains. When listening to music and clicking on the airplay section, the connection to the Fiio BTR7 will be interrupted and it takes a few seconds til it is connected again. When chosing the next song. The music stops, after pressing play it takes a few seconds til the music play again. No issues when using another otg cable or an otg adapter with the included usb c cable. So I think the cable has a damage. How can I get a substitute?

@FiiO Dear Fiio, can you make the custom EQ / PEQ can be saved as custom name (example our personal IEM name like "Mest" or "FH9" )instead of user1, user2 etc?
That will be very helpful

And if possible, put more slots for custom EQ / PEQ and custom name also.
Like 10 user preset with custom name? Or at least 5 or 7 for user with many IEMs.
