Fiio BTR17

I bought btr17 from Ali. Can I replace the battery? I mean, even if I pay extra for the fio service center.
Dear friend,
Hi, you could buy a battery for the BTR17 and disassemble it for replacing the battery. Or send the BTR17 to us for replacing the battery for you.
Best regards

When you download UAC 2.0 for Windows what does it do and how do you know its working?
Dear friend,
Hi, in UAC 1.0 mode, BTR17 could support up to 96k. In UAC 2.0 mode, the higher sampling rate could be supported. You could try to play the music in higher sampling rate to test whether UAC 2.0 is working.
Best regards

I'd be curious how to disassemble and replace the battery. Can you provide a guide?
Making battery replacement intentionally a pain for end user is not a good practice. A screw-less design is a bad design.

Yes, the back cover of the BTR17 is fixed with glue, and it is difficult for customer to replace the battery. Your BTR17 is still under warranty. If there is any problem with the battery, please return it to seller. We will repair or replace new one for free.

And another one to the list, interference in dongle mode.
Got it, we are also synchronously testing the RF noise in this situation.
When connecting the PHONE as the DAC function, please set the BTR17 working mode to the "PHONE", this mode will avoid getting more current from mobile phone. When the mobile phone is calling or networking, the The TYPE C output power supply may be unstable and produce noise.

After our tests, if the BTR17 is placed side by side with the phone, the noise is hard to be heard.
We also found that different USB cables bring different noise levels, it is recommended that the customers replace a different short USB cable to improve, such as a USB cable with a good shielding layer.

Thank you for the reminder.

That was not the point, I was just asking for a disassembly tutorial, my battery is working fine.

Just received my BTR17 and have to say I'm very happy with it. It came with the original firmware and sounded pretty impressive out of the box but did notice a bit of interreference noise when close to my phone and no music was playing. Once music was playing, it completely disappeared. I upgraded the firmware and it completely disappeared when playing or not. It's a great little device; well done FiiO

@FiiO Can you add the Estimated output function to estimate dBSPL like on the BTR3K to next firmware?
Let user click and choose whether they're using Low/High gain, 3.5/4.4, non-Desktop mode/Desktop mode then fill out input sensitivity and impedance.

Just got my BTR17, on impulse, following a similarly impulsive spend on a KA17, haha.

I have already BTR7, BTR5, Q5S and a number of Fiio Daps (M11, X7ii, etc), all of which are still going strong. Oh and a K5 pro and an ageing Mojo.

On the IEM side, I am currently using some FA19s

I bought the KA17 as the BTR17 was not readily available here, and the actually it's a very impressive little bit of kit. Ample power and really excellent sound for a tiny device. BTR17 is equally impressive. Sounds very similar to KA17 unsurprisingly, but maybe I prefer the KA17, I don't know, the jury's out on that. I can't help but think it's placebo, as the KA17 just is such a cute little thing that defies it's capabilities given its size and weight.

I've been dabbling alot also with Roon and Roon Arc being able to use these bit perfect with my Android phone, which is great.

Relative to the BTR7, both these new gen DACs outshine it, quite literally; they sound shinier, sharper, more airy, more open. They tend to risk becoming a little too bright sometimes with the FA19s, but tweaking the digital filters and use of new complys has regulated that, no EQ required.

Briefly, recommend both the BTR17 and KA17 wholeheartedly, and perhaps, if you've less need for the BT aspect but still want a good cheap DAC, go for the KA17; it's just so good for the size and price.

Great fun DACs either wired or, for the BTR17, in BT mode.

Has anyone had any luck pairing their BTR17 with a PS5? My PS5 recognizes it as a parable device but when I click to pair it says it is an unsupported device.
PS5 does not support bluetooth audio transmission.
You can use it in UAC mode. Set the BTR17 to PHONE mode, open the UAC1.0 in UAC mode, and connect the BTR17 to the PS5 via a usb cable.
Or you can buy a Bluetooth transmitter for the PS5, and then you can use it in BT mode.
