Never buy something that has software inside (firmware)? Something that is made in China? Or something that has firmware developed in China?never buy someting has software inside from made in china
And why would any of that matter? It is a FiiO product and it is up to FIiiO to fix any issue we, users, may experience… irrespective of how the product is designed, where it was developed, and where it is manufactured.

I bought mine to fix an issue with a top of the range Korean phone. Which it does. I read the reviews and saw the issues and knew what I was doing. It takes some faffing about sometimes but is so much better than the aptx standard on my phone.

Thanks for getting this to my attention!Got the updated app on android and was able to finally update from 1.04 to 1.09. thanks! sounds great and a lot more stable that before

I also was able to update when using an Android device... amazingly enough, after several tries with iPhone and W11 PC.
But... I use the B&W Pi8, and the volume issue with the BT11 is why I will still use the Creative BT-W6.
The volume is reset every time, and I have to both turn up/down the volume on the phone AND the buds when using the BT11.
The Pi8s are not set up with volume adjustments on the buds as default, and you need to change it in the menus. Then you ruin the chance of using ANC and voice assistant ...
Edit: But I think it sounds good with AptX Adaptive/Lossless, and the time I've used it, the connection seem stable.

I’ve found the Pi8s are so loud anyway that the reduced volume with the BT11 hasn’t been an issue. And I agree the sound quality is great and stable
I'm using USB player Pro on android to resample the Qobuz stream while using the BT11 for aptx ls, its not the ideal experience(since I also use my android with wired dacs, with highest possible bit rate). And on iPad, I have to rate limit the qobuz stream to 16bit 44khz.You are right, it's all digital, dac is on the headphone. But still the bit rate conversion should happen at the bt11 Qualcomm chip. Something is off.
Udate: found this tip on a Fiio site, that might explain:
https://www.fiio.com/newsinfo/966533.html
So I need to find a way to downsample on the host.
Any chance Fiio can automate the resampling on the BT11 itself?

Same here. I've finally managed to get it updated to 1.09 via android app and select AptX Lossless. Works flawlessly for me with BTR17, streaming directly from my phone Tidal app.Got the updated app on android and was able to finally update from 1.04 to 1.09. thanks! sounds great and a lot more stable that before
I've got it working on Android too as well now with the Denon Perl Pro on version 1.09. Comparable stability to the BT-W6 now, as long as I turn off the Bluetooth on my phone after initial setup, otherwise I get some weird static sometimes.
Also no two-second gap at the start of some songs. Finally a functioning product!
