Hello, I have a pair of headphones and an electric guitar. So I wish to ask you: if I buy a Fiio 5, and I plug in the guitar with fiio5 and headphones should it work? 
 
"Electric Guitar" --------> "cable jack to mini-jack" ---------> "Fiio5" --------> "headphones" = sound?

I, uh, kind of doubt it.  How loud is it if you plug your headphones directly into the guitar?  If you can't hear anything at all then I doubt the E5 is gonna help much...you'd probably need an actual guitar amp.  Not sure how electric guitars work though, but I'm guessing they'd probably need a preamp of some sort before you put them through the E5, since the E5 isn't particularly powerful.
 
Not even sure what kind of signal the electric guitar would output either...is it just the raw impulses from the pickup or what?  If that's the case then the E5 definitely won't be powerful enough to amp that to a listenable volume.

Might, but your gonna have to turn the Fiio way to get things to line level. I'm guessing you can throw in a small preamp between the guitar and fiio to get things right.
