Feliks Audio ENVY

The broken glass is definitely not normal and most likely a result of improper handling during shipping. This occurs more often with tubes than it should unfortunately. I've spoken to a few vendors about this and the good news is that the broken glass shouldn't affect performance or longevity, however, considering that the tubes were purchased new and not at a discounted rate due to the broken glass, I'd check into getting replacements. I've seen dealers sell tubes at a discount if there is broken glass inside.

Good response and I concur. I have a few NOS tubes from the 40's that have a little bit of glass loose inside, and it doesn't effect the sound.

@Musicalhead Review is up: https://musicalhead.de/2024/04/04/test-feliks-audio-envy-25th-anniversary-edition/

His conclusion is:
"Der neue FELIKS AUDIO ENVY 25th Anniversary Edition ist ohne jeden Zweifel der beste Kopfhörerverstärker, welchem ich bis zum heutigen Tag mein Gehör schenken durfte. "
"The new Feliks Envy 25th Anniversary Edition is without a doubt the best headphone amplifier, I could listen to, to this very day."

As someone who shares his opinion usually, I'm very delighted to read this, while I'm patiently awaiting the arrival of my unit later this month

considering AE is still not sold out, it’s at least possible.

New set of WE300b is slowly burning in and I simply love em, all I wanted from the tubes, really. Susvara gets that touch of ZMF sound, it truly comes to live on that setup with all the technicalities I always hoped to get out of my Caldera back in the day. Vocals and strings are almost spooky.

Wondering about two things:

Almost no blue glow compared to the used set BTB tried to sell me as new. Does the blue glow evolve over time with more usage?

What driver tubes would you suggest for WE? Is there a compendium of totl drivers maybe that I missed? :D

No reviewer in the world would give this amplifier a negative review. Of course it does sound very good. The question is more: How much better does it sound for the very big price upgrade compared to a standard Envy with maybe ER's or WE's.
is still not sold out
I heard that it actually is.

Because i'm still young i can wait until the next Anniversary Edition MWUHAHAHA.

It's also fascinating how much people prefer either the Elrogs or the WE's...

I am currently enjoying Sylvania 6SN7W. They have a top end sparkle which to my ears compliments the WE’s nicely.

No adapter needed I guess? How full do they sound compared to stock Psavane?

Grey Glas RCA sound great to my ear and are much more dynamic and detailed than stock, but I feel like they are taking away bit of stock Psavane thickness / fullness.

But is there any bias here? Isn’t he a reseller for Envy and wants to promote sales??
No there is not. He has no connection to dealers/manufacturers and does the reviews as a hobby.

As mentioned in every review the Amplifier has been provided from Feliks Audio directly at no charge. So he does have that privilege to test these limited items in this case even prior to production (he has a 00 unit). Wether this influences his decision or not is for you to decide.

However he does have that from several manufacturers and still decided to write this amp the best for his taste.
For me personally his reviews always have been very helpful and did correlate with my own findings.

Furthermore all 25 units are already reserved. Even if he were a seller, there is no more profit to be made for now
