Wow. Just. Wow.

Envy/Elrog TM/quad C3m heated by Hypsos/med gain to CA-1a 32Ω input. Closed pads. Mitch’s convolution filters.

Absolute clarity and realism. Vantablack noise floor. The kind of transparency that leads humans to run through sliding glass doors.
Looking forward to trying mine out…still waiting on adapters (literal “slow boat…”) I’m not even sure that ultra transparent/super detail is what I’m after…we’ll see.
I do always have the 800s/Folkvangr for that tuby goodness alternative. Good to have choices.

I currently have a Schiit Freya+ running as my preamp for a 2 channel system. I own the Echo but also auditioned the Envy recently. Would the Envy be an upgrade as a preamp? Asking for a friend who has an audio problem…
Only one way to find out...

@Randolf711 please tell the friend it is not a problem but a commitment, engagement and a wonderful, long journey

Go for it!

If you don't like them. I will buy from you. :)

Hope you like them though.
