Woo socket savers, or I think @Deyan makes some in metal housing now. They were easy to get in, but I dread getting them back out again...

I just have 12au7 to 6SN7 adapters from Mrs X. They work perfectly as well. I use them on the Woo socket savers.I'll keep it in mind for when I order some 12au7->6SN7 adapters
You are going to play with 12au7. Good. Have any nice NOS ones? My favorite are Telefunken G73r. Even current 12au7 are very good. Mullard are my favorite of those.
You don’t need power adapters for 12au7 on Envy. They run correctly at 6.3V. Of course I now always power my driver tubes with Hypsos.

These Telefunken G73r look interesting, but damn are the expensive nowadays.
A pair of Melz is cheap in comparison.
True socket savers will be Octal to Octal.Yes mate. 8-pin to 8-pin is what you're after for socket savers.

However it makes sense to order all the adapters and savers at once to save on shipping.
Did someone test the TM vs MO A/B Test? I know myself when I get the MO
I will think about how the TM sounds, my system is Susvara, Envy, Holo May KTE, thanks for any Infos,

Let us know!
Also: Let me know if you want to get rid of the 300B MO's.
Ich hätte da Bedarf!
I ordered my Envy! It will take some time since the waiting time for it is roughly 80 days, i also ordered the Linlai Global Elite E-6SN7 with the 10% Best Grade option.

My ER300B are ready soon.
Just got notified by Thomas.
ER300B + RCA 6SN7 greyglass is probably a killer combination in the Envy

Been cooking the tubes for the last several days. I have a change of heart regarding the RCA VT231. I think both my new MOs and NOS RCA VT231 needed burn in.I am still trying to find the perfect driver tube pairing with the MOs. I think they need more burn in. I find them a bit too bright in those first 100 hours.
Right now trying to give the RCA VT231 Smoked Glass another go. I guess I don't like how I lose stage width and details. Will use them to burn in the MOs properly as both could use extra burn in. Got to save the CV1988 for active listening.![]()
I am getting more midrange energy with the addition of the RCA VT231. They opened up a bit and have a lot of bass precense. The added midrange energy I thnk is a nice fit with the MOs as I felt the ER and TMs performed better in this domain.
Well, will be testing out this new setup for another week or so. Then back to TMs. Got to try them with the Melz 1578.

I find the sound to stay in the same ball park from hour 0 and it may improve over time.
I don’t have bat ears thought so there may be something to long burn in for a

I performed an audiometry test about a year ago and they were very impressed with my results. I was in 99th percentile. I also have 20/10 vision.
But my health is not the best so it evens out lol.
