This is more like suspension than wiggle (with the HE-1)

I think we are all a little OCD around here but the little movement of the gain and input selectors is really to be neglected imho 😌
The degrees of knob wobble, perfectly calculated by Lucasz Feliks, are why the Envy Meisterwerk and the AE are so expensive. You just cannot get the perfection of Feliks Knob Wobble anywhere else on the Blue Planet.

Now that you mention it. I’m especially impressed by the 100% wobble alignment of both knobs!

My wife had gone upstairs so I had a good feel.

Mine is like rock - no wiggle at all.

Returning to the forum the next day only to learn there's now a full page of wobble talk. I knew it would be crazy to start with the high end gear stuff...

Does anyone have a hint for me regarding tube rolling?

The sockets (especially those for the 300Bs) are super tight and I always fear that something bad happens when I pull the 300Bs out. I try to grab the tube on the socket (as good as I can) and also hold the glass part with my whole hand to stabilize the process and to prevent that the tube shoots in the air like a rocket when the point is reached where the tightness all of a sudden is gone and I have to control the force to stop the uplift movement.

Putting them back in is no problem, btw.

Would it be advisable to use some Deoxit D5 for the pins so the tubes slide out more easy or is that counter productive?

A "gentle" wiggle helps to make the process smoother.

Edit: Just to be clear, that's a wiggle, not a wobble. 🤪
