Well, then it's most likely just a manufacturing process and it's normal.

I'll check this from WE anyway
Keep us updated lol

When you send those extended warranty letters, will you get some confirmation from WE that warranty has been registered ?
Sent mine out this week by express package, it’s still on the way, I expect them to confirmWill do

I did not get a confirmation, I also sent them an email asking for a confirmation and gave them the tracking number showing deliver and no answer :[
Thats weird they answered every mail so far in regard of the 5 year warranty and confirmed that the current pair I have is eligable.
I tried to confirm that they'd received my warranty cards via email when I got them a year ago. Never got a reply.I did not get a confirmation, I also sent them an email asking for a confirmation and gave them the tracking number showing deliver and no answer :[
+1 here….I never received confirmation on my WE300b warranty either.
Mine all have these marks as well. Been running them for about a year now without issue. Funny I never even noticed the marks before. I would have thought they were cracks too at that time I received them but I guess the others are right about it being either adhesive or tooling scratches. Not sure if I started to celebrate too early (my perfect pair of 300B’s). In one tube there are “lines” like this in each corner of top supports(picture from longest one)

I listen with my chord dave into the envy...on medium I have to set my dave at -28-30....if I used hi gain it would simply not work for me.....with my susvara I used hi gain and around -18 on my 1266 I use medium gain and around -18.....It's literally what the designer of the headphone recommends and it's an amp he brings to every show. The volume difference between medium and hi is pretty minimal. I'm fairly certain I've read all planars are meant to be used on hi gain on it. With my DAC, if I put it to its lowest volume and listen to the Caldera on hi gain at 12 o'clock I can barely hear it. At -30dB from the DAC at 12 and hi gain I'm at around 75dB from the Caldera. All my dynamics are 300 ohm or 2 that are 150 and I've yet to bother with lowest gain myself. It's also the lowest impedence. But of course whatever sounds best to you may not to me.
I can't recommend more highly the 800s with Envy - I don't think there is a better synergistic value out there (since we are in the business of selling to each other). It operates very well out of all the gain / impedance settings with various virtues with my G73r pair depending on how you want to color / thicken the headphone. (Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works 85-92, currently). I didn't have luck with Caldera myself (but great headphone), had to get rid of mine - Susvara had much greater synergy and scaling with my setup (but best looking headphone I've ever owned for sure). Very curious about more impressions of the CA-1a with Envy using the TI-1b interface as I have considered going in that direction instead of fussing with a separate amp for a pair of Stax 007s I have waiting for an amp. I’d have to spend a lot of money on an Estat amp to get anywhere near Envy + Susvara or 800s (which gives me pause) so that’d be great if CA-1a really scales on Envy beyond just a novelty.

I have come to the conclusion that every HP I listen to with my envy sounds great...I am not one for superlatives but with upgraded tubes this is simply a wonderful amp

Can you please expand on what you mean by “beyond just a novelty”.I can't recommend more highly the 800s with Envy - I don't think there is a better synergistic value out there (since we are in the business of selling to each other). I had a pair Stax 007’s with a nice Mjolnir Audio amp. For me they wouldn’t get anywhere near Envy + Sus.I can't recommend more highly the 800s with Envy - I don't think there is a better synergistic value out there (since we are in the business of selling to each other).
