Most Envy boxes, if not all, have stickers attached outside to indicate which version, finish & serial number the box contains.... unless there was another mis-boxing issue whereby Perfofmance versions were in Standard boxes and vice-versa. I still think it was for Hamsters....

Nice to see they are up past serial #80. My Envy is #28 and I don't recall that sticker on my box but................. I could be wrong.

Well it has been quite easy so far.
The Octave is an absolute pleasure to listen to in the meantime.

Are the caps currently on the Envy the best Jantzen makes? I would mess with changing these. Rewire with silver.

I would probably ask him if I lived nearby. haha

Edit: Well after warranty expires. I like having something modified. Makes me feel like I have something unique many people do not have.

I got new Envy a week ago and noticed hum noise coming out from its transformer so I reached out to Felix asking about that. They have asked me to perform few tests including try the amp on another location outside my apartment and eventually referred me to Josh from Upscale audio that explained to me nicely that these transformers emit some noise and there is no fix for it. So my only choice is to accept it or return the amplifier.

to clarify - there is no noise from the headphones, it is not loud and coming from the back of the amp only. I have sensitive ears and my room is very quiet so although not loud it is audible even 4-5ft away from the amp.

Before making a decision I wanted to hear from other people if you all experiencing the same noise with that amp? - like if you place your ear next to the transformer, do you hear any hum/buzz noise?

It was the american walnut in the end.

Wasn't ready financially at the point in time for the bog oak version. However to save the old price I had to commit.
American Walnut will be amazing as well though!
