If anyone wants a recommendation on a fantastic matched headphone to the feliks elise I highly recommend the sennheiser hd700 out of all my headphones I like this the best even better than the zmf verite, hd6xx, hd800s, beyerdynamic t1 2nd to name a few of my 23 headphone collection.
I only bought the hd700 on a chance & it was built in my opinion for tubes.

Correct, I am using socket savers for aesthetic purposes really. :)
Don't overlook the value of socket savers - they really save on the wear of the original sockets, especially if you switch tubes often.
Another advantage is that they act as insulators and lower the chassis temperature. This may be a significant factor if you are running hot running tubes like the 6AS7/6080 families.

That would be another reason as well. :)

On another note, listened with the DT 880 (600ohm) UK Custom Can mod today to Ray Brown and it was such a joy. The DT 880 sounded rich, warm, syrupy and controlled. Very analog like. I think the tubes with the multibit DAC in NOS mode and the headphones created such robust synergy. I think I am reaching my personal endgame. 😃

..... my Lyr 3, Mjolnir 2, Valhalla 2 chassis were much cooler during amp use when adapters / savers were in all tube sockets.
