That ⬆️ is one of my 'go to' tubes. I have quite a few pairs of those. At last glance, Langrex had 20 remaining. Maybe 1-1/2 years ago, Langrex had 385 remaining.

I found a weird thing with the echo 2, don’t know if anyone else have this.. but with some changes I have made in my desk I have my Ferrum stack one left side and echo 2 on the other side of the desk , both Oor ( XLR output) and echo 2 (RCA output) connected to the wandla . This way I can choose what to use .

Now the weird thing was that I was hearing distortion on the oor on high notes that was driving me crazy on why was this happening… sometimes was there and others was fine… super super weird … discovered after that it was the echo 2 the responsible for this . And the most weird was if the echo was on just to warm the tubes , the distortion is gone.. if I turn the echo2 off the distortion comes back again …

My solution for now is to disconnect the RCA from the echo2… but a super bad one every time I want to use the echo2 I have to connect the RCA cable to the echo2 … super weird no?

Ground loop. It's very possible the DAC out shares ground.

They have nine different CV455 tubes. Are they just variations of the same thing?

Do you thing I would have the same problem with the Feliks Envy? or how can I correct this ?

Finally got my comfy chair listening station setup. As simple as I could go… WiiM Pro Plus -> Echo mkII -> HD660s2’s. Sounds wonderful streaming from Roon!

It's more a DAC thing rather than with the amp.
In the past I faced this issue and how the DAC’s XLR and RCA circuits share or reference their grounds.
This create a ground differential that only gets solved by unplugging one of the connection to the amp, or by adding an input selector box in the chain.
Good luck!

Yes thanks, I understand now, maybe have to use a switch box that i was trying to avoid... still in my mind with the selector in Wandla it would be great to use both connected avoiding a switch box ( more cables, extra box etc..). But seems I can't run from it...
