I don't know anything that can match the emotional value of the original Zelda music. Just goes to show that the art is more important than the technicalities. That music has so much emotional value to me(I can repeatedly listen to it in 8-bits. LOL).Man this thread has some killer tracks on it! I am such a sucker for FFX music... heres one of my faves-
Edit: I just put on the second Zelda track that was posted (Overworld theme, and thanks for posting @SilverEars ) and I am rocking out to it! Then it struck me that I am listening to an 8 bit song on youtube through Focal Utopias... I felt ridiculous LOL

Final Fantasy had good sound tracks, but I really got into it at FF7, and the music was quite memorable.
