Of all the mp3 players, I've had I would have to say the 729 for its stellar SQ (when EQued). Without EQ however it's a different beast altogether. Utterly lifeless, drab.

I'm currently using it with Clear Bass up two notches and I must say it sounds pretty stellar. This is with the AD700's.

I like my 30g 5 gen Ipod but I am using my 3g Iphone more and more as a replacement.

I have an ipod classic, an older nano and a Sansa Fuze. The ipods out of their dock sound clearer to me and the interface is easier. The Fuze plays flacs which is great but the flac decoder doesn't seem like the best SQ, works better with wave files.
