Finally part of the #FFREQFAM with the Scarlet Mini, just in time for CNY and Valentines. Just pure head-bobbing fun without muddying up the other frequencies.

Thanks so much! Glad to hear!
I ordered beginning of November..Ellie's not even answering emails..I'm a patient man but my patience is near an end

Please PM me your order number and name - I'll be able to help you out directly.

She took a while to answer my last email but I got a response this morning which advised my order had shipped.

I think they were probably closed for a few days as it’s been luna new year. That might be why she’s not answered your email yet.

I’m hoping to receive tracking info tomorrow & that delivery will happen in the next few days (for the amount of delivery charged I’m expecting express delivery).

My email advised they’ve included a free gift to make up for the delay. I’m hoping it’s the upgrade cable but have to wait to find out 🤞🏻

Correct - we are on a skeleton crew now due the holiday. On our way to catching back up!

I ordered mine Oct. 10th and just got an email yesterday saying they are ready and preparing for shipping
I’ve just got notification mine have shipped. I ordered at the end of November

Glad to hear you both got sorted! Thanks for reaching out :)

Without the context of your original message, this question is kinda meaningless.
Fair, I did an edit while waking up this morning which did me no favors. 😂

Well, revised:

I've seen a lot of OG Maestro Mini on the market for second hand purchases. They don't have the pressure vent or the earwax filter (Per FatFreq's website and talking with an Agent).

Has anyone tried or compared the OG Maestro Mini to the revised one? Apparently the revised one has a 1-2 db lift in the bass and the vent is supposed to help with the timbre but I'm curious whether those revisions/updates would be worth the extra vs buying second hand.

Used/second hand Maestro Mini seem to be solid deals but would you be missing out?

If you don't already have one, get new. Venting by itself is worth it, big quality of life upgrade.

That cable looks amazing with the Maestro Mini 😍. Hope your Scarlet Minis arrive soon, no one likes waiting either. Just curious how well the Shanling pairs with the MM, as I've been looking to get the Hiby R3 II due to its portability.

I have the original M0 which you can't get new anymore, not the Pro version. This is my super minimal/portable/fun setup, not high-end/sound quality focused.
With that said, the M0 pairs with this MM/Velvet/Seraph combo wonderfully, just enough power to sound good but do note MM is very power hungry, a proper dongle will sound much much better, e.g. ifi Go Bar. The newer Pro version has strong power output, should power the MM better (in theory).
I've a Hiby R3 II on order, very curious to see what it sounds like.

Oh, the Seraph cable is highly recommended, well built, soft, light, not crazy expensive and pairs with the MM perfectly, in looks and sound.

According to the specs this does 80mW@32 Ohm which is decent for its size and considering it has its own battery, but from my own testing you need at least 100mW with the bigger brothers of these bass cannons, so it seems the MM also needs some juice.

Completely neglected to post my review from the Australian Head-Fi tour for the Scarlet Mini (available here)

Not much else to say other than this thing delivers on its promise of being a “bass cannon”. Not my choice as a daily driver but definitely a guilty pleasure specialist to have in the rotation!

Today, I received the FF Scarlet Mini! I've decided to get a good setup and want to ask about recommendations for a DAP to pair with the red beauties. I often listen to bass-heavy EDM music like Techno, DnB, and some other genres. Price ~1000 EUR. I read some good comments about Sony NW-WM1AM2, but is it able to provide the needed power? Also, maybe pairing it with such bass-heavy IEMs is not the best idea?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and recommendations!
