Finally got my Scarlets. Anybody with the Scarlet should immediately buy a NiceHCK Maple Flagsjhip cable. Perfect pairing.

When I first listened to Scarlets, I was hugely disappointed. Listened to Dance Fever by Florence and the Machine. The mids and highs sounded so muted that I figured I had finally discovered what too much bass sounded like. Only had WM1AM2 for listening when is underpowered but did drive the regular minis ok. The next day I switched from the factory cable and tried a different source and the difference was night and day. Very nice high end to go with that great bass.

Weird experience. It was like they needed burn-in x1000. Love them now.

So you changed two things at once? How do you know it was the cable? What source did you switch to

McIntosh MHA-150. We bit more power.

Yes they need good burn in Belive me. After a month they sound much better.

Were you on the default SPC or upgrade Silver Red cable?

The silver red cable is also spc but in a red jacket right? Its not exactly a pure silver cable?

Spc is silver plated Copper

I would not recomend pure silver cable for scarlet

Are you talking about the default cable or the upgrade silver red cable? If it is the latter, I save some $ in my cable choice.

This does happen from time to time. A lot of people call it placebo but I think it’s more than that

U got upgraded silver red cable with scarlet or "normal" one ?

Are you talking about the default cable or the upgrade silver red cable? If it is the latter, I save some $ in my cable choice.
