Damn, I guess mine would probably be closer to December then. Oh well.

From what I've gathered, your order is #128. People with 110_ _ order numbers are below 99. I could be wrong, but that's what it looks like. What order numbers are yours btw? Mine is 11128 and I just ordered yesterday.
I think that's their automated reply sent to anyone who messaged them on their site.I asked FatFreq about delivery timing yesterday and here's what they told me:
"The shipment of Scarlet Mini will start next week, and this is for pre-order in July, August and early September. For pre-orders placed between mid to end September please expect shipment around the end of October and November."
I unfortunately have to wait until end of Oct/Nov![]()

Hmm, that would be weird because I would assume that because they extended the preorders to 300 they would have sold through the initial 150 that gets the upgraded cableFrom what I've gathered, your order is #128. Would you post your impressions when it arrives please? It would really help me out, because I´m not quite sure if it´s worth it over the Maestro Minis I could get used just under 300 Euro. Greetings!I asked FatFreq about delivery timing yesterday and here's what they told me:

I've only had them briefly, the main thing to say is these are bass incarnate. When I set out to get portable bass, I wanted something that sounded like a Funktion One rig. This has definitely ticked the box. There is a LOT of bass, but it's very well-controlled and dynamic, very impactful. They seem really easy to listen to. The treble is great, it doesn't make my ear tense up at all yet still has heaps of detail/air and feels tangible. The mids sound a bit suppressed under the weight of all that bass, but it just feels really nicely balanced. There is heaps of kick to these in EDM even in the mids. Soundstage is pretty decent. I am a firm believer in EQ, I feel like any headphone can have its sound improved with it to taste. The only adjustments I'd want to make to these is a small bass shelf perhaps minus 1-3db around 175hz, for tracks that don't align well with the tuning. But going through my library of bass stuff, I think the stock tuning is working out pretty well.
I'll try post some better photos and more notes later when I've had time to settle into them.

Just for kicks I wonder how they'll do with 2 complete opposites of my musical tastes.

Delilah - The bass line is very prominent and takes full stage, the female vocals sound a little too full, i feel they should be a bit colder to match the mood of the song. I feel this is one of the tracks that would work well with the cut i listed above.
Should have known better - Instruments sound great, full bodied, nice echo around the soundstage feels very ethereal, the whispering works wells the voice itself sounds full bodied yet nicely followed up by the air of the voice as the whisper ends. Overall song sounds quite warm, unsure how much of this is from the scarlet but it feels just slightly overdone given the nature of the song.
At stock, i feel the second track sounded a bit better.

Thanks, seems to echo HBB's assessment that the bass would shape female vocals a bit too much, but I'm surprised that it would work well for acoustic heavy tracks too. Seems to have exceeded my expectations in how versatile it's going to be.

To the mate that just received his set and the upcoming lucky pals who are getting theirs soon, could you tell if its good for prog metal or metal in general? I suppose they are similar to legato where the bass is amazing but bleeds the mids so this kind of genres suffer a bit, feels like a cave
Could you take a closer picture from the cable? ThxI've only had them briefly, the main thing to say is these are bass incarnate. Now that I've slept on it, I feel like these scarlets are very specialised IEMS. The problem you might have with a lot of music is either bloat/warmth, too prominent bass that pulls too much attention to itself, or struggling to get the mids/highs to a decent volume level in the first place. I feel they are a very capable set across the board, but as someone that does not collect iems (this is my only one right now), i cannot suggest these for a broad variety of music unless you EQ. Even within say the edm realm or hip hop or anything bass heavy, there are still times where the bass is too much. This is absolutely to be expected when you have +30db bass, and is in no way a flaw of the scarlets themselves.
As someone that does EQ a lot, these are amazing to me, the fact that i can get what i want out of them with only a bass shelf cut is great. Playing around last night i found i was using up to -6db bass shelf for some tracks, starting around 175hz, where as on others i was just adoring stock.
I've done a bit of tip rolling and I'm finding i much prefer the wide bore tips (They do include a set of narrow and wide). Bass seems to better transition into the mids and draws a little less attention to itself. Soundstage opens up a bit. Feels little bit more relaxed overall.
Will do some more of those test tracks later and give updated thoughts/photos as i go
For anyone wondering i am powering them through a bifrost 2 OG and burson soloist 3xp. Later I'll test them through the qudelix 5k.

Yeah I think everyone knows what they're getting into with these ones haha. I am one to EQ though, so it's fine. Planning to marry it to my Q5K as well. The thing is that it's easy to EQ down the bass, it's harder to find a earphone that can give you this level of bass in the first place. Now that I've slept on it, I feel like these scarlets are very specialised IEMS.
