Does anyone here have any experience with monitors from the brand Fame? It's the house brand of the giant German based musicshop The Musicstore.
They actually look awesome and the specs aren't to shabby either. The biggest thing is the price though.. You can get a 2.1 system for only 315,20€.

And no, I don't work for them or anything.. Just was wondering if someone had any experience with them because I'm in the market for new speakers but I can't seem to find any reviews of their products. I do own a Fame guitar though and it's a pretty fantastic instrument.

The moniters look a bit cheap, but i don't think theres anything else in that price range with that amount of power, the disortion is a bit high at distortion: < 2% though suggests the amp is probley a bit cheap.

The sub if your willing to spend an extra 25euros you can do better with this http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/EUR/Samson-Resolv-Sub-120A-Subwoofer-aktiv-10-Woofer-120w/art-REC0002292-000?recId=98e1afa2-2786-4de5-86b7-ce38803b543b&campaign=EPOQ , It's a 10" rather than a 8", it goes 5hz lower and it's amp is 120watts with distortion: < 1%  , only thing it doesn't have the balanced ins/outs.
I own this sub and its excellent value for money i couldn't find anything better for the price.

I was looking at that Samson sub to. I would be going PC => Matrix Mini-i => Sub => M-Audio Bx5A. Now, the Matrix Mini-i can go balanced out but the Samson doesn't have balanced in. Do you think it will give an audible difference?

For short runs no , use the unbalanced rca out don't use balanced to unbalanced cables , also on the samson you will probley want to remove the cloth grill, i found at high volumes the air can't pass though it quick enough and it creates a weird sound it's easy to remove you will need a 3mm allen key though.

I meant something different actually. I was wondering if it would be a big difference to use the unbalanced Samson sub versus using a balanced sub. I would like to go fully balanced if it's possible. I also saw a Samson sub that is 250€ which has a lot more options and balanced ins. Maybe I'll give that one a test.

Same anwser for short cable runs not really a difference, the biggest difference in sound will be between the 2 subs the unbalanced samson could sound alot better than the balanced fame, the rubicon is alot better than the resolv it even goes down to 20hz , but it costs alot more it depends on how much you would to spend.
