I have heard of some fake headphones out there. Are there certain fake brands out there I should be aware of? I was reading about fake AT ES7's. How about AKG, Sennheiser or Denon fakes? Some deals on Ebay seem great but I often worry.

At one time, several years ago, there were some Grado HP1000 fakes but I don't know if there are any current issues with this. I have not heard of anything recently. The way to tell is that the real HP1000s have six set screws for the driver and the fakes had either 4 or 5.
