I'm looking to buy one.  The $300 price for a brand new one is meh okay.  Ebay seems to have some brand new/like new QC15s for $50+ off.  
Are there fake QC15s like the Beats for example?  Would it be better to just pay the price for a new one (which I would rather not if I can find one for $60 off that is also brand new or like new).

Respect yourself. There are cheaper and better cans for you out there. Fakes don't sound or look the same.

I know they aren't popular here.  I want them for school as I will need their noise cancellation.  Plus, these headphones are one of the very few available in my area that I can actually try.  They were extremely comfy.  
 
Last time I listened to advice about avoiding Bose didn't go well.  Ended up buying a SRH840 which was ridiculously uncomfortable and ended selling it.  I'm not buying anything else online if I can't first try it in-store or somewhere else.
