Just picked up a pair of Sony MDR-F1s while I was downtown in Akihabara... I paid about $160 for them from Yamigawa.

So far I'm loving them... I'll give 'em a few days to really break in, but they're definitely the best pair of headphones I've owned thus far. I'm running them from the headphone jack of my Yamaha DSP-AX1 reciever for now.

And I guess I can sorta see why people complain about the bass, but I think it's just fine, really. I'm not sure I'd like it too much heavier or more powerful than this. I think the comfort factor makes up for any real or percieved lack of bass, anyway.

So anyway... Sorry for the useless post, but I'm pretty happy.
