External hard drive array is a hundred times slower now?

*sigh* I'm back.

As I was sleeping, I started transferring some files...and it only transferred about 7 GB during that time.

I tried to do a surface scan with EaseUS Partition Master to see if there were any bad partitions...but it said it would take over 10,000 hours to finish.

Is there any free software that can quickly and reliably fix (or at least help) things without deleting my data? (And taking into account how super-slow it is.)

Somehow, the array stopped being slow! The only thing I did was transfer files from it for days on end. Guess it needed some exercise. haha

I was following this and had no ideas but really glad it is back to working now. I guess you just scared it and it thought it was going to be replaced. You hiatus from headphones didn't last too long : )

haha. I traded a DAC for headphones and am in the process of evaluating them.

Yes, I no longer own the Modi Multibit and 2Qute. (Both superb DACs at their respective prices.) I am awaiting the USB charger cable for the JKenny Ciúnas DAC and have not heard it yet.
