Dear fellow Headfiers,
I need help on choosing the correct DAC for my laptop.
I'm looking for something not over $300 and :
1. Use USB to connect the laptop to the dac
2. must have Unamplified line out
3. preferrable to have a digital in (either coaxial or optical, both is fine)
4. It does not have to be portable (AC Powered is fine)
5. any other extra would be a plus.

I'm currenlty looking at microDAC and M-Audio Audiophile USB, but they dont have RCA out

I have looked at a few other related thread and havent found that would suits me.

I'm looking forward for any recommendations from u guys..

Out of curiousity, why the RCA requirement? RCA<->mini cables abound.

Waveterminal U24 also comes close, though it takes two 1/4" mono plugs instead of RCA. RCA<->dual 1/4" mono cables are rarer than RCA<->mini, but findable.

sorry about the RCA requirement mislead information.
I'm actually looking for unamplified line out. cause I have looked at some other products and found out that most of them are equipped with internal amp.

The line-out on Headroom's Micro DAC is unamplified. It has no internal amp. And it meets all the descriptions you wanted

USB is a must. prefer it to have also digital inputs.
