Hello, im looking for a way to hook 2 pairs of headphones to my HTPC for watching movies at night with my girlfriend.
The PC is 2m away so i was thinking either:
a 2m stereo extension cable to the PCs Xonar DGX for Dolby headphone
OR
a 2m usb extension and have my Dragonfly DAC on our end.....
OR
a 2m stereo extension cable from Onkyo 505e reciever thats connected to Xonar DGX by optical (although probably wont get the Dolby Headphone that way)

Then headphone splitters, are they all the same?

I also need separate volume control because she needs her headphones very quiet due to hyperacusus.
Can i just hook a headphone amp on my split to pump up my volume?
or should i use one of these as the splitter

What would be best way to hook us up please??

I was about to give another solution with A2DP bluetooth headset module as I also owned one:
http://www.jabra.com/support/jabra-clipper_100-96800000-02

But just realized that you can't stream audio from single PC to two A2DP devices simultaneously. Now that sucks.

Seriously, the only circumstances where I wanted wires are for music listening.

Cool little device! That at least might be good for getting rid of the extension cable across the room.
Maybe we can get one of these and mount it to the sofa and use a splitter so we can both hook up to the Jabra..
That or DIY 10m cable around room that comes out behind couch...

Ah, smart! Yes you can just split the Jabra Clipper output. Your girlfriend can connect through a stereo extension with volume control here:

Still, I hate hate hate wires, though.
