I purchased an inexpensive headphone extension cable from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-40408-Female-Extension/dp/B0012MMW7E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1309709007&sr=8-1 to use with a pair of headphones I recently purchased, but when using the cable, the sound degrades to the point where it sounds like the singer or music is hollow, like in a tunnel.
When I plug the phones in directly, it is fine again.
The phones have a built in mic you can use with a smartphone if you want along with a small click controller to move to next track, pause, etc. so it has three rings, while the extension cable has two (I can't find one with three). Does the three rings while the extension cable has two have something to do with the sound quality or do you think the cable is the issue.
Before I spend more money on cables, I want to see if it is because the cable is a cheap cable not the two to three rings the cable causing it.
Thanks all.
