Hey guys,

I have a soundblaster AE5 and it seems to make my IEM's pretty sharp a bit hot in the trebble area.
Who else has a soundblaster?
Do you notice the same thing?
Or is it just my choise of IEM's
I have the blessing 2 atm.

As an avid gamer i like the virtual surround of the cards. Does anyone have experiences with other cards or other options?

Lets talk sound cards boys!

I've had every gaming sound card on the market for my business and the AE-7 is an upgrade you'll notice without the hassle of needing a six pin molex for the AE-9 or the dated sound of the x7 which really needs an IC opamp upgrade at least for the two headphone ones which are $80 each.
If you plug into the back you'll get the best sound out of the AE-7 and USB volume wheel works great. The audio control module can be used just plugged into the mic to use the speakerphone.
I currently have an AE-7 and did a comparison with some amp/DAC stacks I have and it really competes, plus the 5.1 (with 12 percent SBX) is great for some games, but others are just better in direct mode. The added details is the thing you'll notice first coming from an AE-5.
