Hi y'all, it's been awhile since my last post. I'm in the market right now for hard drive based mp3 player and I plan on running a DT770 into it. I know that this setup isn't efficient, but I was just hoping that maybe something out there could power it to okay levels. I've plugged the first generation iPods into them and the sound was a little less than what I was hoping for.

The Zen looks like the only way open to you. I'm not sure if they have enough power for the DT770 to power them optimally.

i have the DT770's and they are too ineffeciant for any portable. You will need to get a small amp like a PortaCorda, Airhead, Meta Mint, etc...
